Hey Usman, sorry--I am still keen on keeping the posting area limited. As I said earlier, if you want to post/pass an item, email me and I will paste it here, with due credit to you.

Speaking of posting, it was very nice of the moderator(s) to convert the Archives listing on the main page left bar from a weekly to monthly range. All the incessant scrolling was starting to give me motion sickness...

Zunaira said...

Oh yea? Me too!

Thanks to KO for the *nudge* in the Archive-it-by-Month-for-gods-sake direction. :~)

I think I did once post a suggestion, too, to convert the listing format [from weekly to monthly]. Ironically, I think no one noticed it then because it was buried too far in so no one probably scrolled down far enough to see it. Btw a doctor once told me that staying up too late browsing the Web also causes a medical condition similar to motion sickness... ;-)

speaking of the front page... an unsolicited suggestion: kindly change "blogs we like" to "dead blogs we liked" or "we like dead blogs" because many of them are.

ok now hate me y'all.

Zunaira said...

M: Really? Never heard that one from a doctor. ;~)

A: 2 blogs were dead. The rest I assume, don't interest you. Oh too bad then. They are BLOGS WE LIKE.

Oh it's an extremely rare condition, Z; very hard to detect. Somewhat contagious too, but no hard-and-fast conditions or reasons have been identified yet that would shed light on why it transmits when it does.

Hmm, maybe Spider should consider customizing its blog's look more in its "image" (when it gets around to it someday) i.e. change the graphics and stuff. That might be a nice next step in its evolution.

I agree with merlinx that the SPIDER blog should change its appearance. At least, a different template should be used for SPIDER blog. This one makes reading the text real hard.

Also, why doesnt SPIDER host a blog on its own www.spider.tm? I think BLOGGER allows you to link up to other servers as well.

Zunaira said...

Yep, have design changes in mind.

Actually, Rafay, this is our third template. And I like it better than the others since the text is pretty clear and the design isn't bland compared to other templates with a white backdrop. Will have something more fun in place in the future. If you have a suggestion from the current range of templates blogger offers, I could look at it.

Seen the Spider website? Its the official website. The "Management" is looking at changing that some time next year. This blog is an independent editorial effort and hence, at present, we're using a free service and not hosting it along with the official website.

Personally, I feel that the white background makes for a better background since its so much easier to read black on white.
