Porn is vital to freedom claims Rushdie

Raising yet another controversy: "Indian-born writer Salman Rushdie claims that porn is vital to freedom and supports his argument with statistics about the volume of porn traffic on the internet in Pakistan.

Rushdie argues that a free and civilized society should be judged by its willingness to accept pornography. His views are to be published alongside images of American porn stars in a book called XXX:30 Porn star "

Rushdie might be a hell lot of a guy in a hollywood-fed world, but comeon, did you just say he knows about internet in Pakistan? I am very much interested to know the porn traffic in Pakistan and even more to know on which metrics does Mr. Rushdie or anyone else did get that data? Waiting for the ultimate enlightenment!

Dear Mr.Rushdie.

Can you kindly email us the extract where you quote pornography-driven traffic from Pakistan? We need to print it in a nice format for PTCL wallas so they can NEVER think about banning or blocking anything on the Net! THAT's just plain stupid and futile but since your voice is stronger than ours as far as getting attention is concerned, we think it can work.

Thank ye!

ps: we don't support obscenity. we just think PTCL has better areas to concentrate its efforts at.
