The Future for Microsoft

BusinessWeek's latest issue has a cover story on Microsoft.

The first story talks about how and why Microsoft is in trouble, given that numerous Microsoft employees (such as Kai-Fu Lee) have left for Google or other tech companies. It also mentions how employees are getting disgruntled and how two senior researchers have said that a "crisis is imminent" within the company.

The second story is a Q&A with Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO. He shrugs off concerns about Microsoft being bureaucratic, and says that employee morale is pretty much at an all-time high.

The third story is a Q&A with "Mini-Microsoft" -- a Microsoft employee whose anonymous blog has become very popular within the company. "Mini" is trying to rally support to change things at Microsoft.

This cover story is definitely worth reading!
